Coaches

 John "Johnny" Pummill has built a tradition of producing quality goalkeepers with 6 high school all conference in two states (with two more potential for the 2009/2010 season), three State and one Regional ODP placements, two MACJC all conference, and two Gulf South all conference goalkeepers. Mr. Pummill's has over 30 years of goalkeeping experience including a brief semi-pro stint. His education includes the NSCAA State, Regional, and National Goalkeeping Diplomas, NSCAA National Diploma and the USSF E, D, and Y Licenses. He has 8 years State ODP, 2 years college and 10 plus years competitive goalkeeper coaching experience along with 24 years teach coaching experience. He has taken teams to the finals in Mississippi and Tennessee and is the only known coach to have reached the finals in every gender and every division of Mississippi Soccer.  

 Caitlyn Hutchins was a 4 year starter at Brighton High School where she still holds all of the goalkeeping records. A two time MVP and three time all District/All Region player she was considered one of the best, if not the best women's goalkeeper in West Tennessee before an ACL tear ended her senior year early. Her return to the game has been in a coaching capacity and she is presently working as an assistant coach for the mens and womens sides for Covington High and Crestview Middle schools. Ms. Hutchins is NFHS certified and her education includes the NSCAA State and Regional Goalkeeping Diplomas.

Robert Gardner played his club ball at Jackson J.C. in Jackson, MS. He played high school soccer at Jackson Acedemy and played collegiately at Mississippi College. Robert began his coaching career at Northwest Rankin and continued at Starkville as he finished out his education. Robert coached for AC Desoto and Center Hill where the led the Middle School Mustangs deep into the playoffs. Robert returned to Starkville to engage in a Masters program and has already led the Starkville Academy ladies to their first playoff win. He is the Director of Coaching for Starkville Soccer Association and has his USSF D along with the NSCAA State Goalkeeper, National, Advanced National, and Premier Diploma.

   Justin Hudgins has played goalkeeper since 1998. He actually started out taking one of Mr. Pummill's summer camps and has been active with the position ever since. Mr. Hudgins played competitive, high school, and college soccer and is working towards his NSCAA State and Regional goalkeeping diplomas.
