Memphis Goalkeeper Training

Team Training

We have team training sessions and camps available. The camps start at the individual level (1 v 1) to understand the fundamentals and quickly move to 3 v 3 and then 4 v 4 modeling for the team principles of offense and defense and finally on to 7 v 7 to 11 v 11 modeling for full field training.

One of the most complex, ignored, and mis-taught aspects of the game of soccer is defense. Goalkeepers are the backbone of the defensive organization. Coaches, especially those without much exposure to the game at the higher levels of coaching and playing have no idea who bears what responsibility on the field. Goals should be scored by the offense taking advantage of a mistake by the defense. Shots should be forced into situations controlled by the defense and the goalkeeper. When the defense is not organized it becomes a series of 1 v 1 encounters and the advantage usually goes to the offense; if they have any creative flair. Goalkeepers, like field players have specific responsibilities on the field. Being able to identify where and why the goal came from is the beginning of fixing the problem.

Team sessions start at $75.00 per instructional hour.
